I won’t lie, I’ll be glad to see 2014 out the door. It brought a lot of challenges, stress and grief (DH heart attack, kidney stones, death of a childhood friend as well as other friends, lung tumor, brain cancer and surgery in a loved one, etc), but also saw positive aspects, i.e. recovery from heart attack and kidney stones, reconnecting with loved ones, embracing and truly enjoying the simple things with family. I’m hoping 2015 will be a year filled with happiness, prosperity and enduring memories.
As I finish up a marathon tamale-making session today (pork, pork jalapeno and pork jalapeno with cheese), enjoying a roaring fire in the fireplace in the face of low 30 degree weather all day, and having touched base with all family members today, I want to take a moment to wish everyone a very happy 2015. May this year be your best year yet!
